Flake and liquid ice are used extensively in the global aquaculture industry from the point of harvest through processing.  As with other seafood applications, ice is used to cool fish after harvest, during processing and on its journey to the end customer.  Aquaculture operations also use ice during harvesting to minimize damage to the fish.
