North Star can also provide additional equipment for special handling or delivery applications, including equipment for intermediate storage and metered delivery.

Ice Dispensers: Case ice dispensers hold from 1,500 to 2,000 pounds (680 to 907 kg) of ice and automatically deliver it to cases in convenient pre-set amounts.

Day Tanks: Galvanized tanks with hoppers provide intermediate storage of 2 to 5 tons (1.8 to 4.5 MT) of ice. Hoppers are available with optional insulation.

Ice Slingers: Mechanical slingers throw ice at high velocity into hard to reach areas, such as the hold of a boat or the front of a trailer.  Ice slingers can deliver up to 20 tons (18 MT) of ice per hour.

Prefabricated Bins: Insulated panels with simple latching devices lock together quickly to form the ice bin and penthouse.

Ice Metering: Volumetric metering of ice delivery within + 2% accuracy.

Control Panels: Options include panels with short circuit protection, variable speed hoist drive and enhanced operator interface with alarm messaging.

Computer Monitoring and Technical Support: Remote modem or on-site monitoring and technical support via computer.

Spare Parts: North Star maintains an extensive inventory of spare parts and can ship standard parts the same day anywhere in the world.
